I’m so excited about this review because it’s been a while since I discovered a new product that I have fallen in love with. I bought this blindly without any recommendations whatsoever and it paid off. The beauty of Korean Skincare is that if you decide to step away from the popular brands, you’ll find some hidden gems that you’ll absolutely love. At this point, I like to think that I have used most of all the bestselling popular serums, so it’s now time to discover new ones. While I believe it’s such a gamble, especially if it is a product no one is talking about, the thrill of finding a new holy grail is always unmatched. So, don’t let anything get in discovering new products. Often times you’ll find new and exciting products within your budget.

I got this ampoule during the 11:11 Singles Sales in November, which most Asian retailers partake in. I mostly avoid Black Friday because all the lovely products would have been sold out. So the Singles Sale is my sweet spot to stock up on new products.

Known as the fruit of the gods, noni contains over 200 nutrients, vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to skin. This ampoule is enriched with 71.77% noni extract, alongside rosemary oil to calm and revitalize dry and dull skin, giving it a supple glow.

Ingredient List & Fragrance

I honestly did not think about the ingredient list until I opened it. Obviously, I had scanned it briefly before purchase, but it didn’t really sink. So when I finally sat down to study it, I was pleasantly surprised.

It is formulated with;

• 71.77% Morinda Citrifolia Fruit Extract aka Noni Fruit Extract, responsible for the green hue.
• Glycerin
• Ceramide
• Shea Butter
• Squalane
• Cholesterol
• Hyaluronic Acid
• Allantoin
• Adenosine

Phew! Can you see what I mean? The first thing that came to my mind is that this is a solid barrier repair ampoule that reminds me so much of the Purito Centella Unscented Serum. It has Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, Allantoin and Adenosine for soothing and Noni Extract, Shea Butter, Ceramide and Cholesterol for barrier repair. Yes, Noni Fruit Extract is known for its healing and repair properties due to the abundance of Vitamins, specifically A & C.

While it is generally alcohol and fragrance-free, it has essential oils which give off a minty herbal scent. It is noticeable, but after a while, it dissipates, so you forget about it. The product is so good that the essential oils are minimal in the grand scheme of things, except you’re very sensitive.

Packaging, Texture & Consistency

This product is packaged in a 30ml pump dropper bottle which is honestly just brilliant. One single pump fills the dropper and is enough for your entire face. It has a gel consistency that is not too watery but still lightweight. I love how viscous it is because it helps nourish your skin. Usually, the thicker the product is, the more hydrating it is. Honestly, it’s just so good. Being formulated with 71.77% Noni Extract, you’ll get a lovely natural green hue.

Price & Availability

You’ll find this ampoule primarily via online Asian retailers because it is not yet mainstream. I got mine on sale for $12, but it generally retails between $15 – 20, depending on where you buy it.

Review of Celimax The Real Noni Energy Ampoule

Some people wonder what the difference is between Essence, Serum and Ampoule. Personally, I don’t like to confuse myself. So as long as the product doesn’t have any active ingredients, I use them in my hydration step after cleansing. I typically use essences during the colder months and serums/ampoules during the warmer months.

I use this product in the morning and at night after cleansing and before my treatment step. If I’m using water-based exfoliants, I layer the ampoule over them. I layer it before for cream or gel-based treatments like 20% Azelaic Acid and Differin Gel.

Performance

My dry, dehydrated skin absolutely loves this ampoule. It drinks it up completely. I mean, what’s not to love?! The consistency is simply perfect, and it is so hydrating and nourishing at the same time. I honestly cannot believe it took me this long to use this product. If your skin is prone to dehydration, you need this ampoule. If your skin’s barrier is damaged and you’re struggling with red, flaky or itchy skin, this is what you need. Pair this with the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5, and you’re good.
