HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream – Review

This post will review the HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream.

As part of my PR package I received from Haruharu Wonder, I also got to try out this moisturiser.

I typically reach out for more emollient and occlusive moisturisers that usually come in tubes, where possible.

But once in a while, I like to throw in some Korean moisturisers just to remind myself of how cosmetically elegant they are.

Generally, I feel like the moisturisers are slept on.

Many people, including myself, tend to gravitate towards toners, essences, and sometimes serums.

But sometimes, the moisturisers come in handy and give you that kick your skin needs.

I received this moisturiser at the beginning of Summer and it immediately became a staple.

I swapped out my other emollient moisturisers for the colder weather and replaced them with this one.

I immediately knew it was the perfect Summer moisturiser.

I’ve used it for a bit now, and I’m ready to share my thoughts.

Ingredient List & Fragrance

Similar to toners, I’m not particularly crazy about the ingredient list when it comes to certain types of moisturisers.

I just want to see my emollients like Shea Butter and Petrolatum in the first three ingredients, and I’m good.

This would determine how sufficient the moisturiser will be for the time of the year.

In a situation where I’m not looking for emollients, I’m looking for consistency, as is the case with this moisturiser.

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the key ingredients;

  • Sunflower Seed Oil
  • Soy Protein
  • Caffeine
  • Squalane
  • Adenosine
  • Shea Butter
  • Centella Asiatica Extract and its family
  • Phytosterols
  • Cermaides and
  • 5 Peptides

As you can see, this is such a packed moisturiser.

Gone are the days when you only see Glycerin and Shea Butter in the moisturisers, which is not to diminish the concerns of people with sensitive, reactive skin.

But with a product like this one, you could easily skip having a separate Peptide serum if you want to simplify your routine.

As always, this product is essential oil and fragrance-free.

Packaging & Consistency

The HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream is packaged in a 30ml recyclable glass jar.

The product has a creamy consistency that remains friendly and smooth on application, thanks to the Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, the third ingredient in the formula.

With Shea Butter in the middle of the ingredient list, you’re also able to achieve a nice balance of hydration and moisturization without it being too heavy or greasy.

Price & Availability

This moisturiser officially retails for $24, and you can get a refill for $15 as well.

For the full size and refill, it costs $39.

It’s honestly not too bad for this price range for this kind of moisturiser.

I wish it were 50ml instead of 30ml, as that would offer a lot more value for money.

Review of the HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream

HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream - Review

As I mentioned earlier, this moisturiser immediately replaced my Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream, which was my original planned moisturiser for the summer.

I mostly use it at night as I usually skip moisturisers in the morning and use my go-to moisturising sunscreens, Bondi Sands Face SPF 50+.

At the moment, my HaruHaru Womder nighttime routine includes:

  • Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence
  • Centella 4% TXA Gel Serum
  • Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream

It’s honestly the perfect nighttime Summer routine.

Performance

I have dry skin, which is usually dehydrated, so my skin absorbs anything and everything.

To prevent moisture loss throughout the night, I need some time to seal in that moisture, hence why I typically gravitate towards more emollient and occlusive moisturisers.

But during the Summer, particularly during the heatwave, my typical moisturisers get too heavy for me, hence why this HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream is the perfect moisturiser.

Both times we have had heatwaves this Summer, it came in super handy and kept my skin nice and moisturised.

It did not leave me feeling greasy.

Instead, it gave me a natural finish.

The texture absorbed immediately into my skin without leaving any residue; instead, you could feel that film of protection.

In Conclusion

If you’re looking for a nice lightweight moisturiser that packs a punch and works across most skin types, you need to try the HaruHaru Wonder Centella Phyto & 5 Peptide Concentrate Cream.
