Top 8 French Pharmacy Body Moisturizers For Winter

This post will share the top 8 French Pharmacy body moisturizers for the winter.

Between Asian Skincare and French Pharmacy Skincare, I’m unsure which industry has my heart and my Apple Pay the most.

But unfortunately, I can’t decide.

Over the last few years, I’ve been experimenting with tons of products from both regions, and I’ve boiled down to the following conclusion: I prefer Asian Skincare for my face and French Pharmacy for my body.

You cannot beat the 400ml pump bottles of generous French Pharmacy moisturizers and cleansing oils for your body.

The only thing that comes close is the 500ml Japanese Toners.

As a result of living in Europe, I also access these products for a steal.

While a few popular brands are readily available here in the U.K., I prefer to order mine directly from France as it feels more authentic.

Just as I order Asian skincare from Asia.

It’s that time of the year again when we’re all trying to transition skincare routines from Summer/Autumn to Winter.

For a lot of people, Winter is brutal on their skin.

Aside from the regional and environmental factors, I like to believe that people who still have dry, ashy skin during the winter have yet to discover fantastic body care products.

Without further ado, let’s get down into business!

Here Are The Best 8 French Pharmacy Products To Transform Your Dry Winter Skin

As the name implies, French Pharmacy products are formulated by pharmaceutical companies.

This means that much research and resources are invested into these products.

Just like La Roche Posay, a lot of the products have also been vetted and formulated by dermatologists.

So, if you live in a country without dermatologists, you should try these products.

It is worth noting that some of these products might be too heavy for you during the warmer months.

So you can easily swap it out for your regular body lotion.

But if you have dry or dehydrated skin and you don’t find it too heavy, it’s OK to use it all year round.

Embryolisse Lait Creme Fluide

Key Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Soy Protein, Aloe Vera Extract & Fragrance

If you’re familiar with the widely popular Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentrate, which I currently use on my face, this is the lotion version you can use from head to toe.

Compared to the original cream, this is more lightweight and easily spreadable.

I used it briefly during the warmer months, but it can still work for anyone with normal skin during the colder months.

If you have dry, dehydrated skin, it might not be enough.

But if you still want to use it, you can layer an occlusive oil over it.

Uriage Xemose Lipid-Replenishing Anti-Irritation Cream

Key Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Shea butter, Squalane, Vitamin E, Ceramide, Centella Asiatica.

Easily, my favourite moisturizer this year is this one from Uriage.

I’m not a fan of fragrance for my face, but when it comes to my body, I don’t mind.

This has a subtle but inviting fragrance that smells like candy floss.

Using this every day was always an experience. Like the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Fluide, I used this during the Summer because its consistency is slightly lighter.

But again, if you have normal skin, you can also use this during the winter with no issues.

La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume AP+M

Key Ingredients: Thermal Spring Water, Shea Butter, Niacinamide, Vitamin E

This is my current body moisturizer, and I’m loving it so far.

Aside from its key ingredients, the formula behind this product is pretty innovative, as La Roche Posay is the pioneer.

This means that this moisturizer has been specially formulated for people like me prone to dry, itchy skin.

It’s super thick, and it ensures that your entire body is properly moisturized, leaving no room for any dry skin flare-ups.

Plus, the thermal spring water is amazing for soothing, hydrating, and calming your skin.

Avene Xeracalm A.D Lipid Replenishing Balm

Key Ingredients: Thermal Spring Water, Mineral Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Vitamin E

Just like La Roche Posay, Avene is also one of the most famous French pharmacy brands.

They formulate products for people specifically with sensitive skin.

While my skin is far from sensitive, that doesn’t stop me from enjoying their products.

I recently got this moisturizer for the winter, and I’ll use it when my La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume is exhausted.

Unlike the rest of the moisturizers, this one doesn’t contain Shea Butter, so if you’re allergic, it’s an excellent option.

SVR Topialyse Creme Anti-Dryness Nourishing Care

Key Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Coconut Oil, Cotton Seed Oil, Petrolatum, Niacinamide & Fragrance

Another product that came in my most recent French Pharmacy order is this one from SVR.

My current favourite product from SVR is the Sensifine AR Micellar Water.

I like it a lot, so I figured why not try a body moisturizer from the brand.

This is another product without Shea Butter if you’re not a fan.

I look forward to using this product in the coming months and sharing my review.

Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume

Key Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Vitamin E, Ceramide, Cholesterol.

If I’m not mistaken, this was my very first French Pharmacy body moisturizer, and I haven’t looked back since.

I actually bought it for my face, but then I tried it on my body, and it was simply marvellous.

If you have dry, dehydrated skin prone to itchiness and flakiness, you have no idea how we must feel when we find a moisturizer that ticks all the boxes.

Unlike the other moisturizers, this stands out with other skin-loving ingredients like Ceramides and Cholesterol.

Ducray Dexyane Anti-Scratching Emollient Balm

Key Ingredients: Shea Butter, Beeswax.

Ducray is a relatively new brand because it is not in your face like the popular brands.

While searching for body moisturizers, I came across this Emollient Balm with a fairly decent ingredient list.

While Mineral Oil should not be demonized because it is a fantastic occlusive for the skin, particularly during the winter, this doesn’t have mineral oil.

Again, if you’re allergic or sensitive to Mineral Oil, this is a great option.

SHOP

Biafine Anti-Irritation Moisturizing Cream

Key Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Shea Butter, Petrolatum, Panthenol, Allantoin, Oat extract, Oat Oil.

This is the first French Pharmacy product I’ve seen with oat ingredients.

In case you didn’t know, oatmeal in any form, either extract or oil, has fantastic soothing properties.

So, if your skin is prone to that itchiness and flakiness that comes with dry winter skin or even eczema, you need to get this.

It will moisturize your skin and keep it healthy, as well as soothe inflammation and flare-ups.

Finally,

When it comes to Winter Skincare, I don’t joke around because this is the worst period for my skin.

To ensure your skin gets the most benefits from these products, you exfoliate your body at least three times a week.

Any good drugstore body scrub will suffice.

Some of us are walking around with dead skin cells which should be scrubbed away.

I have definitely noticed the difference in my body since I started exfoliating my body regularly.

I hardly get that flakiness anymore, and my skin stays moisturized longer.

Hopefully, your struggles with dry winter skin will be a thing of the past for you.
