Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream – Review

*This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link! This supports me and keeps my blog running.*

This post will be the reviewing the Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream.

I’m so excited about this review because it is officially the second product I’ll be reviewing from the Iunik brand. The first being the IUNIK Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum which I talked about a few weeks ago.

Just like a lot of Korean skincare products, the serum and the daily moisture cream are complimentary. While they can both be used individually, it is sometimes best to use them together especially if there are no active ingredients that could potentially irritate the skin. I started with the serum and later on added the cream and I have to say that I really enjoy the combination on my skin.

If you are not familiar with the IUNIK brand, it is one of the new generation Korean brands. They are known for their four bestselling serums which gradually gaining quite a bit of popularity. You should definitely check them out. They have simple products with fuss-free ingredients that work.

First Impressions of the Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream

When it comes to Korean skincare, moisturizers come in different forms which are usually referred to as creams. From gel creams to moist creams, water creams, lotions and emulsions. The trick to finding the best creams to use is to consider your skin type and the season.

Oily or combination skin types typically prefer to use gel and water creams. While dry skin types gravitate towards lotions, emulsions and moist creams which are usually more moisturizing.

Overview

The Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream is a lightweight moist cream. While it might be better suited for dry skin, I believe it is lightweight enough for all skin types. It’s not overly sticky or moisturizing but just enough to use for a day cream.

Ingredient List

This is such an interesting moisturizer that is packed with just the right amount of antioxidants and still manages to be lightweight.

It has hydrating ingredients like Glycerin, Beta Glucan and Sodium Hyaluronate.

It also has soothing ingredients like Allantoin, Adenosine and Centella Extract with Niacinamide being the cherry on top to brighten your skin tone.

To wrap things up, it is sprinkled with plant extracts like Licorice Root, Raspberry, Strawberry, Fig and Peach.

Texture & Consistency

It has a light, moist and creamy texture that is unlike any moisturizer I’m used to. It’s not heavy, greasy or sticky. No matter how generous you want to apply it, it manages to absorb right into your skin and finishes up with a smooth finish. It’s just so perfect.

As a result of its ease of absorption, this cream is best paired with the Beta Glucan Power Moisture serum or any other hydrating toners or essences. This way you can probably maximise the effectiveness of the product.

Price & Size

For a 60ml size, it retails for less than $10. As with most Korean skincare products, the price and quantity ratio is always very generous. So, this product will last for a bit depending on how often you use it.

Review of the Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream

If you want a moisturizer with Niacinamide or soothing ingredients that you can use with your actives (AHA, BHA, Retinol, Vitamin C, etc) and won’t cause any irritation, you should definitely try this product.

How I Use It

It’s currently Autumn here in the UK and I use this moisturizer in my AM routine. I use it after all my hydrating products just before my sunscreen. It leaves my skin soft, moisturized and supple.

The only problem is, I have dry dehydrated skin and as such, my skin gets dry after about six hours.

For this reason, I’m actually looking to swap this moisturizer for a thicker one. I currently have the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream on the way. When it gets here, I’ll be reserving this product for Spring. I need something very thicker for the winter and this is simply not enough.

In Conclusion

If you are looking for an affordable moisturizer that works across all skin types. I definitely think you should give this a shot. If you will be using this product for the winter months, I recommend you layer it with an emollient such as the Cerave Healing Ointment or just a facial oil like The Ordinary Rosehip Oil will do.
