This post will be recommending five best products from The Ordinary for dry skin.

Asides from the oils, I like to think that I have used all the hydrating products from The Ordinary Skincare. This puts me in a good position to talk about them and make recommendations.

A brief background for those that are new on my blog; I have struggled with dry dehydrated skin all my life and I recently found success with Korean Skincare and The Ordinary. Read more about the history of my dry dehydrated skin.

Over the past year, I spent my time trying all the hydrating serums from The Ordinary just to find the best ones for my dry skin. While I’ve found my faves and staples, the entire experience has mostly being a hit and miss.

At the moment, I have tried six products including all the serums that are targeted to dry skin. I just recently realised that the only thing missing is the Squalane Cleanser which is still pretty new. I’ll be trying that as well soon. So subscribe to my blog to get updates!

The Ordinary For Dry Skin: Six Best Products

Six Best Products from The Ordinary for Dry Skin.

The following are the best The Ordinary products to buy and try if you have dry dehydrated skin. You can try them all first and decide which ones to keep as a staple in your skincare routine.

This is easily the best product in the bunch and one of my staples as well. When used correctly (on a damp face), it has the ability to draw in moisture from the atmosphere. This keeps your dry skin moisturised all day. This way, you’re not worried about your skin looking ashy. One of the great things about this humectant is that it also works wells during winter. For someone like me that struggles a lot with hydration during the winter, this Hyaluronic Acid CAME THROUGH this past winter. I couldn’t be more thankful to have it in my routine.

You can get a bottle or three from Amazon or The Ordinary.

While I initially had mixed feelings about the Marine Hyaluronics, this Spring particularly during this lockdown, I’ve found a new appreciation for it and lightweight serums in general. I thought it was too thin for my skin but over time I realised that I just needed to layer it alone or with other hydrating products. Either way, it hydrates your skin instantly! You feel so good that your skin is getting all the good stuff! Get a few bottles to sustain you during this Spring and Summer. You can also save your Hyaluronic Acid for the Autumn and Winter.

Get yours on Amazon or The Ordinary.

Another partner in crime with Marine Hyaluronics is the Amino acids which I’m currently using. It’s also lightweight which means that it sinks right into your skin after one application. On a scale of normal dry to dehydrated, depending on how intense or not your dry skin is; you can either go with one layer or several like me until you get that level of hydration you want. Either way, it’s a handy hydrating serum to have during the warm season.

The Ordinary For Dry Skin: Six Best Products

You’re probably living under a rock if you don’t know one of the best products from The Ordinary. This OG moisturiser is increasingly popular because it works for all skin types. For dry skin, it’s even amazing because this emollient is packed with Hyaluronic acid, Glycerin and Amino acids that keep the skin moisturiser for a longer time. Whether you use it alone or as a last step to seal up all your hydrating serums, it works wonders. I haven’t had to use any moisturiser in over a year. That’s how great it is. For us dry skin girls, this will always be a winner. Don’t sleep on it. While some people are complaining that the consistency is too thick, it is just right for us. So don’t slack!

Get yours either on Amazon or The Ordinary.

If you think The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors was the cake, the Plant-Derived Squalane is the frosting or whipped cream or ganache. Whichever you go with. I’m almost on my third bottle and I can categorically say that it is the best facial oil I’ve ever used in my life. Listen! After slathering that thick layer of NMF, the lightweight Squalane adds a nice sweet dewy, glowy finish to your routine. I haven’t had to wear makeup in over 6 months because I love how healthy and glowing my skin looked every morning. I just wear red lipstick and I’m good to go! Squalane is the TRUTH and then some! If you need your skin to glow up, Squalane has got you!

The Ordinary For Dry Skin: Six Best Products
  • The Ordinary Rosehip Seed Oil

Rounding up this list of the six best The Ordinary Product for Dry Skin is Rosehip Oil. It wasn’t initially on my list because I recently just started using it regularly. Girl, the glow is AMAZING too! Rosehip is originally known for fading blackheads and hyperpigmentation. But it is also a very good facial oil because it is lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy. So using it is literally killing two birds with one stone. You’re keeping your skin moisturised while fading any leftover acne scars you have. A win-win situation, if you ask me.

In conclusion. so far, all six products from The Ordinary for dry skin have been impressive. While they might not give you that level of hydration like Korean Skincare would, they’re nonetheless effective. But it still all boils down to your skin. While I recommend all six products, you still need to find what works for you and choose your staples.
