When I first came into the world of Korean Skincare, one of the most shocking things I found out was how cheap and incredibly affordable the products are. Unlike American skincare, they are generous with their product sizes and don’t settle for low-quality ingredients. In fact, studies have shown that the Asian beauty industry is currently the most innovative and progressive in the world. This means that they formulate with rare and high-quality ingredients. Plus have you seen how soft and glowing Korean women’s skin are? It is literally #SkinGoals.

TIAM My Signature C Source Serum – $17
This was one of the first Vitamin C serums that I used. While it wasn’t the best idea to use a 20% Vitamin C serum as a beginner, it wasn’t completely bad. After a few days of irritation, my skin adjusted accordingly. It is also packed with skin-loving ingredients such as Glycerin, Zinc, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Green Tea & Beta Glucan. The only downside is the presence of Alcohol that helps the product to penetrate into your skin. To be honest, I didn’t really feel the effect of the Alcohol on my skin. It is such a packed Vitamin C serum that you should try if you have built resistance with lower percentages.

Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner – $15
SOME BY MI is one of those brands that snuck up on me with their targeted acne products. One of the most popular being the AHA BHA PHA 30 days Miracle Toner. While I’m not a fan of products that claim to give you fast results in days, this one seems to be a fan favourite. It is packed with so much good stuff including Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid, Allantoin, Lactobionic Acid which is a PHA, Citric Acid and the evil sister Witch Hazel. If you want a nice calming exfoliating toner that is not as harsh as the Westerm ones, you should definitely go for this.
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 PA+++ – $15
If you don’t use sunscreen daily, then what exactly are you even doing? Just as I mentioned ealier, Korean sunscreens are currently the best and most advanced in the market. The chemical filters they use are advanced enough to prevent breakouts and white cast. While Biore is mostly a Japanese brand, it is sometimes grouped under Korean skincare.
