This post will be sharing first impressions and review of my recent mini haul from Jolse Online Store.
Finally! My Jolse order arrived after three weeks. It felt like forever because I wasn’t sure how long they would take to deliver post-COVID. Unlike StyleVana which I just heard about and patronised for the first time, Jolse was my go-to destination for cheap Korean Skincare on eBay. Yup! Absolutely! As you’re aware, when lockdown happened, it took a toll on worldwide shipping. Coincidentally, it was just as I ordered my last set of products from Jolse.
Unfortunately, my order didn’t arrive till date. So I had to look for alternatives. Luckily for me, I was refunded after about two months. But just recently, I found out that they had begun economy shipping to the UK. I was looking forward to trying out some new Korean Skincare.
First Impressions & Review of Jolse.
Now, while I’m a repeat Jolse customer, I usually buy single products through eBay. I had never really ordered from their website. So, this first impression is gonna be based on my recent order from their website.
Without wasting too much time, here are some of the best things about the online store:
- Decent Prices: Just like StyleVana, Jolse also has low competitive prices. This is one of the reasons why I would never patronise a UK Kbeauty retailer. The cheap prices are everything! Plus shipping doesn’t even take that long. I’d rather wait and buy more products than a single overpriced product with next day delivery. Jolse prices are mostly in USD so by the time I convert it to GBP, I save even more money and buy more products. On eBay, Jolse is also one of the cheapest retailers which makes them very popular. If you want more for less, you should definitely try them.
- Generous samples: In my StyleVana review, I complained about how stingy they are with samples. Then my Jolse order came in with almost 10 samples to prove my opinion right. When I ordered one product from Jolse, I’m usually given about three to five samples. Now that I ordered three products, I got almost 10 samples. Jolse absolutely came through! Meanwhile, StyleVana gave me just two samples for almost eight products. Samples are so important for me because they help me explore even more brands before committing to them.
- Fast shipping: Before COVID, I always got my order after two weeks on the dot, unfailingly. It never went beyond two weeks. But then after lockdown, I got my order in three weeks. It was not so bad at all. Bear in mind that this economy shipping is through Korea Post. Three weeks for delivery is actually pretty decent given the current situation of things.
While Jolse has their strengths, they also have areas which could be worked on. These are some of the not-so-great things about Jolse.
- A limited selection of brands: Again, unlike StyleVana which has a wide range of Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese skincare, Jolse just has a select number of pure Korean brands sprinkled with a few Japanese brands. As an Asian skincare newbie, this is actually a better option for you. You have fewer choices so you can double down on the core brands and bestsellers. I typically use Jolse to restock my staple products and StyleVana to explore new ones.
- Little to no customer perks: While StyleVana bombards you with coupons upon coupons, Jolse doesn’t really roll like that. Instead, they have regular insane deals and mouthwatering sales.
- $150/£114 Free shipping: Seriously, while everyone else offers £30 – £50 free shipping, £115 is really a reach. I wish it was definitely cheaper. Then again, the $2.5/£1.90 standard shipping fee is not so bad. I use the free Economy shipping on eBay and I never have problems. To walk around this, you can just use their website to browse through and place your order on eBay.

My Latest Jolse Mini Haul
This time, I didn’t buy too many products because I already got more stuff from StyleVana. But I was excited nonetheless to restock my staple and try new products.
- Cosrx Advanced Snail Mucin Power Essence: I got this before COVID but unfortunately it never came but I was refunded. I feel like I always need to buy an extra bottle because it is becoming increasingly popular and more expensive outside Korea. It is my staple essence that keeps my dry skin hydrated and glowing. Over the past couple of months, it literally transformed my skin! Plus it is packed with so much nourishment for dry skin. I don’t think I can ever stop using it. I’m so happy to be finally reunited with it. I had to get the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence to use during the lockdown. Look out for my post comparing the two snail essences. BUY ON JOLSE
- Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream: For Korean Skincare, I mostly use toners, essences, serums and sunscreens. I never really use creams except they come with my samples. So, I recently decided to explore more creams and serums because there are only so many toners I can use. This is literally the creamy version of the snail mucin in a tub. I’m so excited to try it and I’ll definitely be sharing a review. BUY ON JOLSE
- Petitfee Black Pearl & Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch: Move over sheet masks, eye patches are here. I don’t know if it is just me but I recently began to see eye patches everywhere. Then I realised that I’m actually dealing with puffiness and dark circles. While I’m not sure this will actually get rid of them, I know that they will definitely keep my under eye hydrated. Plus, it is always a nice addition to my self-care routine. BUY ON JOLSE
- Samples: I got 7 samples including one May Island Green Tea Sheet Mask and a Jolse blotting paper. The latter was really a nice gesture even though I don’t have oily skin. The products include Purito Snail Repair Advanced Serum and Centella Green Level Unscented SPF. Purito has become increasingly popular in the last couple of months and has found a spot on my radar. I’ll definitely be trying the brand soon. Also included is The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser, Mechnikov’s Quattro Biome Hydrating Toner, CNP Laboratory Invisible Peeling Booster and Vitamin B Energy Ampoule.
I’m so pleased with my Jolse purchase and I cannot wait to use them and do a review. Don’t forget to check out Jolse.com if you can.
