This post will review the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser.
One of my favourite pastimes when travelling to European countries is visiting Sephora to find out what products are not available in the UK.
As we all know, Sephora relaunched back in the UK last year after closing down some years back.
So, for someone like me, the closest I could get to the in-store Sephora experience was on my trips.
Granted, Sephora Europe is nothing like its American counterparts, but it is honestly better than nothing.
In the last couple of years, they have actually improved their offerings.
So, you can imagine my excitement every time I visit a European Sephora store.
On one of those trips, I stumbled on the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser and grabbed a mini size in the travel section.
I typically wander around the travel/mini section because I usually travel with hand luggage only, so I have a limited allowance for liquids.
This helps me limit the products I buy to travel sizes that I can actually carry.
So far, I have used two travel sizes of this cleanser before investing in a full-sized bottle.
I found it to be an excellent all-in-one cleanser for travel, particularly during the warmer months when I wore more makeup.
So, I thought I was way overdue to share a review, so here it is.

First Impressions of the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser
According to Youth To The People:
The powerful, but gentle daily face wash is formulated with superfood antioxidants from kale, spinach, and green tea – to give your skin the ultimate cleanse. It works effectively to prevent buildup in pores, remove makeup, and balance pH without drying or stripping. This is the green juice cleanse for your face.
Ingredient List & Fragrance
The first time I came across this cleanser, I immediately thought the brand was jumping on the healthy living/green juice cleanse trend.
I clearly remember the celery juice trend that everyone and their mother jumped on.
So the motivation behind the cleaner felt icky to me.
Fortunately, I like the product, so I don’t really care so much about the motives behind it.
This cleanser is formulated with;
A Proprietary Superfoods Blend:Kale, Spinach, Green Tea, Alfalfa, Vitamin C, Vitamin E
I’m sure you’re also curious about how they have been able to be formulated with greens.
It looks to me like it is similar to the plant extracts used in Korean Skincare products.
I checked the brand’s website to see if I could find any further information about the cleanser, and here is what I found;
Since it doesn’t contain any sulfates or typical surfactants—but rather two forms of coconut extract that react to dirt and makeup—the formula won’t rob your skin of its natural oils. Instead, it leaves your complexion comfortable, radiant, and supremely hydrated
I knew there was a reason why I kept going back to the cleanser.
In summary, it is a great soap/sulphate-free cleanser formulated with antioxidants to replenish your skin while also removing dirt and grime.
In terms of fragrance, it has an earth scent which dissipates after rinsing off.
It is honestly not surprising, given the greens used in the formulation.

Packaging, Texture & Consistency
The 237ml product is packaged in a pump bottle, which I prefer. It is a lot more convenient than the travel size, which I typically have to decant to travel with.
It’s a gel cleanser with a stunning green hue, which, again, comes from the greens in the ingredients.
It is safe to say that it is one of the most aesthetically pleasing facial cleansers.
The pump dispenses a thick gel, so you only have one or two pumps for your entire face.
Price & Availability
The cleanser comes in a regular 8oz/237ml size which retails for $39.
I honestly recommend trying the 2oz/30ml size to test how your skin reacts to it before committing to the full size.
You can get it from all the major beauty retailers.
Review of the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser
If there’s one thing I’m very picky with, it is cleansers.
I tend not to experiment with them like I do with other products.
Once I find one that works for my dry, dehydrated skin, I stick with it for years.
I currently use the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil cleanser.
It’s been such a lifesaver this last winter, and I’ve run through a few bottles already.
I always buy the jumbo size and have a spare at all times.
But then, when it gets warmer, I’m usually open to switching to any other cleanser I need to use up.
The Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser has been my staple travel cleanser, so when I found a good deal on the full size, I had to buy it.

Performance
In addition to when I’m travelling, I typically use this cleanser on days when my skin craves a deep cleanse or when I can’t be bothered to oil cleanse.
I just go in with it, and it gets me going.
The cleanser lathers beautifully, and I can feel it lifting all the dirt out of my pores.
After rinsing out, it leaves my skin nice and slightly hydrated without stripping it.
Unfortunately, that hydration is not enough for my dry, dehydrated skin, particularly during the winter.
So, I put it away and whip it out again in the Spring.
I absolutely love the cleanser.
While the cleanser lathers enough to remove makeup, I always recommend you oil cleanse first to avoid wasting the product.
While it is above the price point of a typical drugstore cleanser, a little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts a long time.
Finally,
If you’re looking for a new cleanser to splurge on, I recommend the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser.
